Eureka 4.04 - The Story of O2

Need to write another review for scifiland, and since I just watched Erureka 4.04 The Story of O2 I thought I'd just write a wee bit about that.

Hm. I'm liking the higher cheekbones!

First and foremost: SQUEE! KAVAN SMITH! I really hope he'll stay as the next version of Andy ♥ And yay Zoe! I've missed her. Not sure what I think of the hair though. I hope we get to see her a bit more this season. She's gotta have a break at some point so that she can come home xD The cat was adorable. Especially after the shower XD Larry was so annoying in the before. I like new Larry. All gleeful and nerdy and not wanting to destroy Fargo. Zane... oh Zane. I loved him in the previous timeline. And I loved him with Jo. It's sad to see them like this. BUT it seems to be going in the right direction which makes me happy. So cute when he called her Jojo. I wonder if it really was just an attempt to annoy her or if somehow the timelines are bleeding together. I really hope they won't fuck this up. They belong together. I really like Jack/Jo. Not as a romantic ship but as BFFs. And it feels good knowing that Jo is all about trying to bring the good Zane to the surface and get him back, while Jack has enough with just having broken up with Tess and having feelings for Allison. There's no risk of ust or anything between Jack and Jo. I also like how the whole time shift thing makes an arc spanning over all these "problem of the day" episodes. The characters always have to deal with the change, and not knowing what their past is like in that reality. They (and we) know that something can pop at any time that will make things really difficult and confusing. It adds a bit of thrill to the whole thing. And this way they can do they whole fun "oh shit how do we stop this?" thing every week, yet keep it grounded with the struggle of our main characters. eeeh, I can't wait for the next episode! I read some stuff on io9 about future episodes... holy crap I'm excited for some of it. The crossover for starters. But then there's the return of Nathan! eeehp! I didn't like him for most of the show. And just when I realised how great he was he died ;; I think that has been like the only time Eureka made me cry. And not to mention Felicia Day joining the cast.
