still in planning mode but I think I've figured something out!
I was looking at these two pictures

and realised that the coat is in fact in two pieces (well, more but you know what I mean) with a belt-thingie in between. One bodice and one skirt.
The pockets are a part of the lapel but the lapel is only attached to the bodice, with the pockets hanging loose on the skirt-part.
wait a second... the belt... maybe it's not attached to the coat! Maybe it's the same one as with the buckle! It's probably is! It goes out in the seem and around, to keep the coat from flying around! (what do you think?)
The lapel also have a seem in the back.
um, oh, and the sleeves actually seems to have a slight ruffle or maybe three pleats at the shoulder seem...
now my problem is: how the hell do you make a lapel like that? (don't care about the pockets, just the lapel-style)
well, anyhow, I'll ask the people in the store if they know approx how much fabric to buy. If they down't I'll estimate then add some XD
better too much than too little!
I can always make a matching purse or something *laugh*
or doll clothes ^^;;;
oh, and people, if you happen to run across a piece like the buckle (see last post), you now for sewing/ironing on to stuff please tell me!

mm, visst är den? Fast jag hittade inget tyg >.>
ska kolla fler affärer nästa vecka tror jag
yes, I realised that later. The belt is loose and run's through holes somewhere, like between lapel and rest of coat, if the lapel is a piece of it's own.
and yes, I just spotted seems at the pockets (first pic) connecting it to the lapel... er, in some way or another
jag orkar nog inte fodra den, huu
